“What do you want to listen to?” I asked my husband as he slid into the driver’s seat.

“Josh Johnson.” His voice full of conviction. We had already been on the road for five hours and had just reached the midway point. To make time seem like it was still moving, or more accurately, to make us feel like we were moving toward our destination while time was moving, we needed something that was guaranteed to take our minds off time.

I quickly scrolled through YouTube and settled on video that was almost an hour long.

I’ve come to the conclusion after listening to Josh Johnson, that I really need to tune in to him for my news information. He has a way of explaining the news in a way that helps me better understand what is going on the world. I am not going to comment, or maybe I am, on the sad state our news sources have become when a touring comedian is better at communicating in a boiled down version.  The fact that he can take it and twist it into something entertaining and funny is just an added bonus.

Three hours later on, and I have drifted in and out of sleep, and my husband is still listening to YouTube. The AI has chosen his next few options for him, all in the realm of stand up.  As he carries us further toward our home, I ponder the characters of my next book. Specifically, I want to write about Gary, and every time I place pen to paper, so to speak, I find Gary trying to share things from his POV. So, like I did with Lydia and Sam in the Leaper Chronicles, I’m going to have to let Gary tell his own story.  As his story progresses I will try to share some of it in this outlet.  So, fans of The Leaper’s Chronicles, get ready. I’ve created a world, and now I want to explore some of my favorite characters.  At some point Lance will have to make an appearance, he can’t stay hidden forever, can he? Hopefully, he will face the justice he deserves.
