Inspired, I think not!

In addition to writing for my book and this blog, I send out a weekly bulletin. For the longest, I would write an email to go with it that talked about odd things that had happened in history on that date. The powers that be decided that instead of random information that they would prefer that I provide an inspirational message. For those of you who read my last blog, I decided to share the inspiration with you.

This week I was told that people are complaining and that I should no longer write anything in the email. It’s another case of the squeaky wheel getting grease, because I have received several lovely replies saying that they really like my musings.

But talk about an opportunity to become uninspired. My book is not selling well, my blog only has a few readers, and now I have been told to stop trying to inspire people. And yet, failure is not the opposite of success, but rather a process one has to follow to get there. So despite all the criticism and the naysayers, I’m still here, people. And I am going to keep on writing… just not in the weekly email (I can’t afford to lose my day job!)
